Hey everyone, New to Melbourne and keen to crawl.

Postby Kronix » Sun Apr 12, 2015 1:02 pm

I recently moved from Brisbane to Melbourne and I'm keen to meet some new people to crawl with. A lot of saturdays were spent at Mt Cootha in Brisbane but I'm keen to try somewhere new.

My truck is a 1/8 scale outlaw with a few extra mods.
-cranked front and rear arms
-wheel weights in rims
-high steer with metal knuckles
-pair of 55turn motors
-cut down front bumper

I'm located in Eltham and have heard Warrendyte has some good crawling. Is there much there for 1/8 scale out there?

Thanks Wade

Gday welcome to the pit, that rig sure is flexy also 1/8 scale crawlers would have more clearance then 1/10 scale, but it depends. Ive got a mate called NandaRockCrawler that lives in melbourne is making a badass track in progress you should ask him about it.
welcome :)

Welcome buddy. Most of us are in the SE suburbs. There is a thread on here that lists locations etc.

Thanks for the replies guys. Thanks gtojoe, i saw that thread with the locations and was a little bit surprised that there wasn't a location in Warrandyte to tell you the truth,i thought there would have been some good dry rocky creek beds out that way. Just sent a request for the FB page Nanda, where abouts are you located and where do you crawl besides your track?

I'm BullRock over@FB. ;)

We have a few good spots, found a quarry out in Upper Gully recently, there's Ringwood Lake and the Mt Dandy Trail. Jordan knows of a great spot out his way near the beach and Elgar Park in Box Hill. I'm keen to find new spots, so will find some other good ones i'm sure. ;)
