Some pictures of my first time soldering attempt on a bull bar.

I am building a LR Defender up but just practicing on the old truck to get the technic better.

the dremel will get a work out on the solder.

Cheers

Agree with jeffchere, good first effort.

The difference between first attemp and second is usually significant. You are following the right path!!

The slightly non symetrical bar actually suits the old truck body style - a liitle bit 'distressed' you could say :handgestures-thumbup:

That's the look I was going for

Second attempt will be spot on as it's my scale defender, needs to be spot on

Cheers for the encouragement guys.

Cheers Benn

I have finished the bull bar and it's all painted, I will post some pics soon.

Been in the shed making a car trailer for my son so he can tow my crawler with his car, he has seen them on You Tube, next he wants to make a caravan same as our 1:1 Van.

I will post some pics.

Have painted the bar, use a few scratches from use but has stood up to some abuse.

New bull bar

Nice looking truck mate. Too nice to get dirty, let alone roll down a pile of rocks!!!

Front bar suits it, keep up the custom work!

I have a new body (Defender) and have made a new bumper, well taken this one and re-engineered it.
