Easiest thing to use is 3/16 brake line/bundy tube.
You can get it at just about any brake shop, hydrualic shop, autobarn, supercheap, repco, wreckers....etc.

If you want solid rod, try Jackson's steel or any other steel supply shop.

Google is your friend. :handgestures-thumbup:

or go to any wreckers and cut some out from under a car or off the diff. but if you want to spend the $$$ go to a brake shop and get some nice srtaight stuff.
2nd place is the first looser!!

Definately start with new tube. I tried the tightass way with 2nd hand tube, and the smell of burnt brake fluid is pretty ordinary  so new bundy or brake tube is the way to go :handgestures-thumbup:
Solid tube is way too heavy ;-)

Cheers Pricey.

I use brake tube for the higher parts of any tube work, and solid rod for the lower stuff to try and keep COG lower.

Go to Pirtec and get bundy tube... it easyier to use as it straight to start with. It about $20 -$30 for 6 meters

Brake line comes in coils and you have to straighten it, you can alway tell work that has been made with brake line.

Get yourself some map gas and torch ... Kit is normally any wherer form $80- $100

Go to Trade Tools and get flux coated braising rods $25 - $30 for about a 20 length backet

And a decent tube bender, i seen a kincrome one that does 180 degree bends for about $30.. but I can't remeber where i seen it

you dont need to buy the straight stuff, its easy enough to make a line straightener. I have with some rollers from screen doors and steel box and a couple of bolts. run it through the straightener a couple of times and bobs ya aunty

So why not just buy straigh t stuff to start with if you are only going to straighten it!

Last time I checked the price was nearly the same
