Many Tundra's Out There In Aus...??
Ok, so i'm well underway getting my tundra built, and was just wondering, how many are actually around? i personally have never seen another in person aside from the one i imported last week, and even noticed there a very few on here. So i guess, its hands up if you have one

I have a Tundra in the build @ the moment just for shelf duty. Just a tip for you, move your steering servo next to the shift servo.

Colour looks good. Bushwacker is right to, is good idea to move steering servo next to shift servo. Alos although i dont have a tundra h.l. it looks like in your pics the transmission has an option to have the transnission sit slightly higher in the chassis rails. Would be worth putting in highest position to get maxium clearance for the gearbox too.

Also the battery tray has to be screwed into different holes as well.

Re: Many Tundra's Out There In Aus...??
Well, there you go, didn't even notice that until you mentioned it. as for steering servo, cbf with moving it, over the next few weeks i'll have the junfac 4-link combo which comes with the new steering plate, and linkages so i'll just wait untill i get that then sort it out that way. hopefully i'll get a little more done tonight, and see where i'm at. will look at that g/box setup as well and probably move it up.

Re: Many Tundra's Out There In Aus...??
Ok, another update, the tundra is now pretty much finished, minus a few small trimmings, and a little bit more paint. looking great to A Few Pics For You's As Well..... I'll get some better ones soon, just a shitty camera phone job, but it'll do for now. drove it around the house, climbing whatever i could, but limited with the stock susp/steering setup for now. soon the mods will come. what do ya's think?

Re: Many Tundra's Out There In Aus...??
Looks good mate, sounds like u enjoying it already. As mentioned earlier by Greg relocating the steering servo will improve the steering especially if you are running a locked front diff. The junfac kit u mentioned with the link kit and steering kit combined is good and whati use (steering component), I took it one step further and made a custom mount and mounted my steering servo over the axel which is better agin for steering, but takes alil away from apperance. Also its a good idear to remove the transmission bash guard as this will again give you alitle extra clearance. Paint and colour looks good to mate.

Re: Many Tundra's Out There In Aus...??
Latest update. Junfac 4-Link Conversion Combo had to happen, and it has. waiting on some new shocks, and tires to suit the new wheels also so soon it should be a little nastier again. But for now, some sedate shots...

Ahhhhhh I remember a time my tundra looked priddy like this one...... Looks good... Need some action pics... You might find that you will have to remove the side steps with if you fit larger tyres than std ones. The fronts tend to rub on the step. I used the F350 side steeps on mine. Still look apart of the truck, but are out of the way. Cheers, Rob

Re: Many Tundra's Out There In Aus...??
Yeah i'll probably take the step off completely and see how it looks and what not. who knows might even make up some custom ones for it. see how it goes i guess. just got my nitro monster truck going again, so might need to give that some good floggings while i'm waiting for bits and pieces for the tundra.

Re: Many Tundra's Out There In Aus...??
Slight high-jack... Anyone know where i can find a copy of the manual for the tundra? or anyone prepared to scan a few pages?
I've got a F350 High-lift and I'd like to convert it to a Tundra, so I need the pages from the manual that cover the body, bumpers, lights, etc so I can work out what parts I need and also how to put it together...

Re: Many Tundra's Out There In Aus...??
thanks mate, its had a few more mods done since those pics, i'll have to get some freshies and post em up. now has 2.2 wheels, and some new shocks. looks pretty tough and sits much higher. lol crawls a lot better to. just need to sort a few minor things. maybe even try and get some better shocks than the cheap ones i bought. Also fitted a hitech titanium geared 24kg digital servo. thing turns like nothing i've ever seen now. just need to buy the module thingy to tune the servo. will probably put those servos in all my rc's now, such a big difference.

Re: Many Tundra's Out There In Aus...??
Pics please Chich... Without seeing sure it goes better and sits higher with 2.2's but just for thorts, they can go well with larger end 1.9s and keeps scale size if you eventually want to run a comp. How much and where for the servo? Its one thing ive put off in getting a better quality steering servo till i have spare cash. Looking at other projects usually so keep putting it off but eventually i will have to bite the bullit and invest so any info you have be great thanks mate. Ben.

Re: Many Tundra's Out There In Aus...??
yeah, the 2.2 tires do look massive on it, but ridiculous is somewhat my style. i will probably wind up with a few different wheel/tire/shock combos as time goes on, but for now its good enough to shelf and crawl around the yard when the big boy's arent running. as for the steering servo, i picked it up for $115 from Kelletts Hobbies, and that was marked price which i thought was really cheap. they only had one left though, and not sure if they have any more. you can get on ebay the same servo for the same price plus postage. from memory and memory alone the part no. was hs-7955-tg, may be wrong though i'll check and get back to you

Re: Many Tundra's Out There In Aus...??
I will soon finish my tundra build ... I've been liking the idea of moving the steering servo next to the shift, but not sure about the linkage etc. Is all the part needed already in the spare bits of the kit? or do i need to get additional stuff?
info on this will be great.. sorry i'm only new to the scale world
